Overview

An IC Design Engineer is required by the Microcircuit Emulation Center at SRI International (formerly Sarnoff Corporation) to support the manufacturing of microcircuits (integrated circuits). Through SRI's Generalized Emulation of Microcircuits (GEM) program, the Microcircuit Emulation Center (MEC) supplies form, fit, function, and interface replacements for obsolete microcircuits. This capability supports production, redesign, and sustainment requirements for the life of a weapon system. SRI’s Microcircuit Emulation Center is a government-supported, U.S.-based Trusted foundry. This role will be based in our Princeton, NJ location.

Responsibilities

  • Design, simulation and verification of digital circuits
  • VHDL/Verilog design, synthesis, and verification of complex logic
  • Back-end database modification/creation of part measured data and layout artifacts
  • Perform datasheet generation and entry while interfacing with test and design engineers

Qualifications

  • Minimum BS in computer or electrical engineering
  • Understanding of CAD tools (Schematic entry, layout, DRC, LVS, etc.)
  • Experience with design, simulation and verification using schematic capture, SPICE simulation, HDL modeling and verification
  • US Citizenship or Permanent Residency required (green card holder)
  • Position is site office based in Princeton, NJ

The salary range is: $68,346-$90,558 Salary ranges will vary and are based on several factors, including geographic location, market competitiveness and equity amongst internal employees in similar roles. Positions may also qualify for SRI's Pay for Outstanding Performance program or the annual Performance Based Compensation program.
