SRI's Center for Advanced Imaging is searching for a Cleanroom Maintenance & Assembly Technician to join their team.  The position will work on-site in our Princeton, NJ office and may be required to work first or second shift.

Responsibilities

  • Production environment manufacturing high quality advanced imaging products.
  • Maintenance of Cleanroom Equipment including Compressed gasses, Vacuum Systems, etc.
  • Assemble surface mount components into board assemblies in accordance with specifications and drawings.
  • Solder TE Coolers to heat exchanger.
  • Assemble Flex Circuits on Detector Assemblies
  • Die and Wafer handling, sorting and pick and place.
  • Wafer Dicing
  • Wafer Cleaning
  • Wire Bonding Detector Assemblies
  • Setup and maintenance of existing and new equipment used in the manufacturing cleanroom

Qualifications

  • HS grad or equivalent
  • 2 years of related experience preferred
  • Due to government requirements candidates must be a US Citizen
  • Must be willing to work in cleanroom environment, class 10000, and class 100 hoods.
  • Basic knowledge of mechanical assemblies
  • Experience with safe use and disposal of basic chemicals used in electronic assemblies a plus
  • Experience with epoxy mixing and dispensing equipment a plus
  • Basic knowledge of electronic components, circuits and test and measurement equipment a plus

The salary range is: $17.82-$23.62/hr. Salary ranges will vary and are based on several factors, including geographic location, market competitiveness and equity amongst internal employees in similar roles. Positions may also qualify for SRI's Pay for Outstanding Performance program or the annual Performance Based Compensation program.
