Overview

From design to fabrication, we develop and deploy complex imagers for space, scientific imaging, commercial applications, spectroscopy and more.

 

The Center for Advanced Imaging is search for a Senior Product Engineer to join the team.  The Senior Product Engineer will play a key role in supporting Product Engineering, Production Testing ATP, Electro Optic Testing and Quality. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, proven experience with Imager and camera technologies, and the ability to work effectively across engineering, production, and customer support teams.

Responsibilities

  • Work with the Production Team to support Test, acceptance test procedures etc. Streamline testing for maximum thruput.
  • Work with Production and Engineering to Pass Quality Audits and address Engineering Lab Standards.
  • Support Product Transition from Prototype to Production.
  • Work with Inventory Control to maintain Production Inventory and ZERO LOSS goal for Production Year. Identify Inventory issues before they become a problem.
  • Maintain Material Certs, Vendor Certs and issue CoC’s for Product shipped.
  • Work closely with Engineering team to lead and support engineering builds on time and within budget.
  • Take ownership of Quality: RMA’s, address Vendor Issues, interface with customers.
  • Manage Configuration Management: As Built, Prototype, Production, Vendor Items etc.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or Associates degree with at least 10 years of experience in development and productization or a relevant field
  • Must be a U.S. person (citizen or permanent resident)
  • Hands-on experience in CCD, CMOS, and III-V imager/camera fabrication and testing
  • Knowledge of Design For manufacturing Circuit Board Rules and Board Technology
  • Quality And Configuration Management Experience
  • Knowledge of MIL and IPC standards for electronic assemblies, ISO9001 certified facility
  • Knowledge of OMNIFY (EMPOWER CM TOOL)

The salary range is: $120,000-$130,000. Salary ranges will vary and are based on several factors, including geographic location, market competitiveness and equity amongst internal employees in similar roles. Positions may also qualify for SRI's Pay for Outstanding Performance program or the annual Performance Based Compensation program.
