Overview

In the Neurosymbolic AI research group, we develop distributed, multi-agentic, high-assurance, meta-cognitive AI systems capable of tackling profound scientific and engineering challenges. Our focus is on creating self-improving AI capable of abstraction and learning from its failures. Our work encompasses:

  • Autonomously discovering innovative cyber-physical system designs such as aircrafts and underwater vehicles.
  • Automating the scientific discovery process by generating hypotheses, conducting virtual experiments, and analyzing results at scale such as design of new biomolecules, formulation and proving new mathematical theorems.
  • Achieving large-context spatiotemporal understanding in complex environments, from data fusion to dynamic scene interpretation across a wide spectrum of modalities.

We are seeking a Computer Scientist to conduct research and development in neuro-symbolic computing and intelligence with a focus on mathematical foundations of safe, robust, responsible, and ethical AI. The Computer Scientist will actively participate in existing and new projects on neuro-symbolic computing and intelligence for government and commercial clients.

This is a fully REMOTE position.
