The vision of ATSD is to create competitive advantages for our customers by inventing new technology and concepts resulting in disruptive, low cost, and high-performance solutions. The division advances the state of the art in diverse areas such as radar and electronic warfare; novel imaging technology; robotics; quantum sensing and metrology; marine technology; and applied optics.   From our Ann Arbor, MI campus, the Research Engineer will participate in multi-disciplinary, collaborative teams and contribute to the development of state-of-the-art remote sensing solutions and surveillance technologies. Relevant sensor types include electro-optic/infrared and active/passive radar imaging systems. Projects will include the development of advanced sensor concepts to exploit new and unique phenomenology, and the associated design and validation activities.

The candidate will work in the Pharmaceutical Sciences Group located within the Biosciences Division at SRI. The Pharmaceutical Sciences group includes personnel working in the Pharmaceutical Formulation laboratories, Analytical Development and Quality Control laboratories, and the Pharmaceutical GMP manufacturing unit. This is a laboratory role and based on site at the Menlo Park campus. The Biosciences Division, of which Pharmaceutical Sciences is a part, has worked with our partners to advance more than 195 drugs to clinical trials, and over 20 have reached the market. SRI has numerous partnership models, enabling flexibility in its research and development collaborations with industry and academic partners. Join our team and contribute towards the process of getting life-saving drugs to the market. Our SRI campus in Princeton, NJ has an immediate opening for a Semiconductor Device Scientist within the Advanced Technology and Systems Division.   This role centers on semiconductor device innovation – solving challenging technical problems by synthesizing advancements across scientific domains into cohesive, functional, cutting-edge devices spanning a wide range of technology areas, including advanced imaging, night-vision, RF-photonics, quantum sensing, energy harvesting, and advanced PNT applications. We take a principles-to-prototypes approach, leveraging knowledge of semiconductor physics and light-matter interactions alongside practical fabrication knowhow to create usable solutions to new and exciting problems.    In this role, you will have the opportunity to take new ideas through the full cycle of device creation – from conception and modeling, through translation into material growth and fabrication, and into testing, data analysis, and eventual implementation into systems. The ideal candidate will have an excellent working knowledge of optoelectronic and photonic devices, including in the III-V material system, with a desire to expand their design approach beyond conventional architectures into emerging fields like nanostructured devices, heterogeneous heterostructures, and photonic integrated circuits, to name a few.  Critical to success is a deep understanding of device operation and the eventual use case, to identify the key problems and devise innovative architectures to overcome conventional limitations.

SRI Education, in collaboration with the University of Florida, Virginia Commonwealth University, and the U.S. Department of Education, is hiring temporary, part-time research assistants to conduct classroom observations of preschool classrooms for a national research study.   This position offers a great opportunity to contribute to a large-scale study and gain valuable preschool classroom observation skills and experience using standardized observation protocols. This position will begin in October 2022. We will provide training and certification on the observation protocols in October 2022. Observations will be conducted in preschool classrooms through November 2022 and again in April-May 2023. Research assistants will be paid to participate in the training and for time conducting observations and other research activities. All travel and other expenses associated with the work will be reimbursed.    Candidates need to be within a 50 mile radius from classroom locations in Santa Clara County, California
